Cetacean Sighting. April to October Departures with Ekoetxea-Urdaibai Center:

Guided routes Northern Matxitxako, limit of the continental platform.
It takes about one hour to get to the sighting area, located at 8 miles from Bermeo. Once there, the boat slows down to facilitate the search and observation of cetaceans and we take a tour of an underwater canyon, the place where they are usually found.

Guided tour by nature expert Gorka Ocio, in a route beyond the limit of the continental shelf.
It will take a little more than 1 hour to reach the edge of the platform, where the marine canyon is located, where the large marine mammals live. Once arrived here, the boat will sail at a constant speed in search of the desired cetaceans.

- The trips are used to collect data on cetaceans which then serve scientists for their research.
- At all times, the legal regulations regarding sightings (speed, route, time spent with cetaceans ...) is respected.
